Launch of Infinity 360 – Crew Resource Management Framework

InfinityACT CRM Layout, crm training, news

We are pleased to announce the launch of Infinity 360, a pioneering CRM program designed to transform traditional teamwork into high-performance systems through its proprietary methodology, grounded in over 17 years of rigorous, competency-based research. At the heart of this approach lies a scientific evaluation of behavioural competencies, supported by targeted interventions and continuous improvement strategies that drive measurable, lasting change.

Infinity 360 Approach

At the heart of Infinity 360 lies a scientifically grounded methodology, dedicated to advancing safety excellence and team performance. The platform addresses one of the three foundational pillars of Crew Resource Management (CRM): competencies—a critical yet often underemphasized facet compared to skills and knowledge, which are more commonly targeted in traditional training.

Infinity 360 bridges this gap through a pioneering, scientifically validated diagnostic tool, developed from over 17 years of rigorous competency-based research. This tool enables precise measurement and evaluation of core non-technical competencies essential for high-performing crew operations.

The framework is built upon three foundational pillars, collectively known as the ACT framework, which encapsulate the key dimensions of non-technical performance required for safe, effective, and resilient crew collaboration. Each pillar is further divided into nine behavioural clusters, with each cluster comprising five distinct competencies—resulting in a robust model of 45 scientifically defined competencies. This structured approach empowers targeted development and accurate assessment of CRM capabilities across operational environments.

Methodology

Infinity 360 employs a structured four-step methodology designed to embed Crew Resource Management (CRM) principles deeply within organisational culture. This comprehensive approach equips businesses with the tools to accurately identify CRM blind spots, performance gaps, and behavioural vulnerabilities that may compromise operational effectiveness. By uncovering these areas, organisations can implement targeted, data-driven training interventions that address specific weaknesses. Additionally, the methodology enables the identification of internal CRM champions—individuals who consistently demonstrate high levels of non-technical skill and collaborative excellence in areas where the broader organisation may struggle. These champions serve as catalysts for cultural transformation, helping to reinforce CRM values and drive sustainable performance improvements across teams.

The steps are as follows:

  • Awareness: These focused workshops develop a practical understanding of the ACT framework, emphasizing behavioural markers in real-world flight deck scenarios. Participants learn to identify, assess, and apply key non-technical skills essential for safe and effective crew performance.
  • Assess: A scientifically validated 45-competency assessment delivered via a device-neutral platform. Using adaptive testing and multiple methodologies, it ensures authenticity and resists manipulation. Efficient by design, it delivers accurate insights into key competencies in under 20 minutes.
  • Design:
    • Strategy Development: Informed by diagnostic insights, CRM strategies are tailored to each organisation’s operational context, resulting in customised tools that enhance collaboration, resilience, and performance under pressure.
    • Competency Development: This phase delivers targeted training to build core non-technical skills—fostering communication, assertiveness, and mutual support. The approach drives lasting behavioural change and embeds high-performance habits across teams.
  • Train:
    • Immersive Learning: Scenario-based training integrates CRM principles into daily operations through dynamic simulations, reinforcing behavioural competencies and ensuring consistent real-world application.
    • Skill Development: Structured modules build crew confidence, adaptability, and resilience, targeting key non-technical skills—anticipation, decision validation, and mutual support—to sustain performance under pressure.
Insights & gap analysis, understanding the "why"

The Infinity 360 analytics dashboard is designed for systematic identification of performance gaps that may impact safety, efficiency, or team effectiveness—providing a critical foundation for targeted CRM interventions and continuous improvement. This analytical approach integrates biometric indicators and performance outcome data to deliver a comprehensive, evidence-based view of crew capabilities. By uncovering operational strengths and vulnerabilities, organisations can make informed decisions that enhance team dynamics, optimise performance, and embed sustainable behavioural change.

Key questions Infinity 360 can answer:

  • Do we have any CRM competency blind spots?
  • What are our most lacking competencies?
  • What do we need to train and who?
  • Who are our CRM champions?
